Colin Young
Colin Young is an Industry Adviser with over 40 years’ experience managing power station assets and delivering high-value engineering outcomes across Victoria’s energy sector.
Colin brings extensive expertise in engineering management, plant maintenance, project delivery and risk management, with a strong track record in strategic planning, capital works, major outages and asset performance projects. He has also acted as a General Manager, implementing standardised “whole-of-life” asset maintenance systems and leading large multidisciplinary teams.
Throughout his career, Colin has been recognised with multiple Victorian Engineering Excellence awards for project management, engineering design and safety innovation. He has also held several registered engineering design patents and represented the Australian Government in the energy industry.
Colin holds a Master of Engineering from Monash University, an MBA in Technology Management from Deakin University, and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Victoria University.
Outside of work, Colin enjoys staying active on his rural property, playing guitar, motorcycling, and travel
