The City of Ballarat has engaged Touch Projects to deliver several minor projects across multiple sporting reserves in the area, including upgrades to Burrumbeet Cricket Club, installation of outdoor gym equipment at Doug Dean and Russell Square, electronic scoreboard installation at Mt Clear and Learmonth Reserves, change room refurbishment at Vendy Pavilion and design works for a Little Athletics Facility in Buninyong and toilet amenities upgrade at Western Oval.
Touch Projects has been entrusted with the end-to-end project management responsibilities for the City of Ballarat’s Sport & Recreation Minor Projects Delivery. This includes managing the design, stakeholder management, and construction management for all project sites.
The Burrumbeet Cricket Club upgrade involves minor improvement works to the current cricket training nets and the construction of a modular building to serve as the club’s social space. Touch Projects will carry out detailed design, procure quotes, and complete works while managing the contractor through delivery.
Touch Projects will also oversee the outdoor gym equipment installation at Doug Dean and Russell Square, which requires the procurement and installation of fixed outdoor gym equipment at the selected locations within the reserves.
Electronic scoreboards will be installed at Mt Clear and Learmonth Recreation Reserves. The project will require finalizing quote assessments, coordinating contractors, and liaising with stakeholders throughout the installation phase.
The change room refurbishment will take place at Vendy Pavilion in North Ballarat Number 2 Oval. Touch Projects will develop a concept within the budget allocation, source quotes, and manage the contractor through delivery while liaising with stakeholders.
The Little Athletics Facility in Buninyong will require finalizing detailed design. Touch Projects will review the initial concept plan, initiate a new process to finalize the design for project delivery and manage the contractor through delivery.
Finally, Touch Projects will oversee the detailed design of toilet amenities upgrade at Western Oval by consulting with stakeholders and appointing an architect. The concept will be transitioned into detailed design, allowing QS and tender documents to be prepared.
Throughout the project, Touch Projects will ensure effective management of design, stakeholder engagement, and construction management, resulting in the successful completion of all project sites within the specified budget and timeline.
