…what we did on this project

The Burrinjuck Cableway Refurbishment project involved refurbishing the cableway structure at Burrinjuck Dam to meet the latest Australian Standards.

The project, managed by Malcolm Law and executed in collaboration with Comdain Infrastructure, aimed to replace ladders, upgrade platforms, and blast and repaint the cableway platform.

The focus was on enhancing the safety and functionality of the cableway system, which plays a crucial role in the maintenance and operation of the dam. Malcolm’s role included engaging design partners, completing design and specification tasks, obtaining necessary approvals, and managing stakeholder communications to ensure the project met its objectives and was ready for tender.

Throughout the project, strict safety protocols were maintained, with all field activities reviewed for compliance.

Malcolm effectively coordinated with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that the project stayed on schedule and within budget.

His management of service provider assignments, preparation of business cases, and risk management were pivotal in achieving the project’s goals.

The successful refurbishment of the cableway structure not only improved the operational efficiency of Burrinjuck Dam but also ensured the safety and reliability of the infrastructure for future maintenance activities.
