Intersection of Waverley Road and Jells Road

Led by Project Manager Bob Bocevski, the intersection upgrade at Waverley Road and Jells Road in Glen Waverley is a crucial component of the Glen Waverley Sports Hub project. The construction works, in collaboration with the North East Link Project and the Department of Transport, aim to enhance traffic safety and accommodate increased traffic flow.

Led by Project Manager Bob Bocevski, the intersection upgrade at Waverley Road and Jells Road in Glen Waverley is an integral part of the new tennis centre and multisport pavilion project within the Glen Waverley Sports Hub. The construction works, conducted in collaboration with the North East Link Project and the Department of Transport, aim to enhance traffic safety and accommodate the increased traffic flow resulting from the sports hub. 

The project involves various technical aspects, including the installation and commissioning of traffic signals, civil works such as road and pedestrian pavement modifications, asphalt works, line marking, signage, as well as tree removal and minor landscape works. These measures are essential to ensure the safe movement and efficient operation of vehicles and pedestrians in the area, particularly during peak periods. 

Throughout the construction period, traffic and pedestrian management strategies will be implemented to minimize disruptions and maintain safety. Signed construction zone speed limits will be enforced, urging drivers to exercise caution and reduce their speed when passing through the works area. The project team is dedicated to implementing effective traffic control measures to safeguard the community and ensure a smooth flow of traffic during the construction phase. 

This intersection upgrade not only serves the immediate needs of the Glen Waverley Sports Hub but also contributes to the broader community benefit.
