The Mount Waverley Reserve Redevelopment project aims to enhance the reserve through comprehensive upgrades and renovations. With a project value of $12 million, TPL is responsible for end-to-end project management.
The Mount Waverley Reserve Redevelopment Project, led by Senior Project Manager Helmi Som, is a comprehensive project with a value of $12 million. Helmi’s responsibilities encompass project management services throughout the design and delivery phases of both Stage 1 and Stage 2.
The project requires close collaboration with the Project Control Group, Project Working Group, and other consultants and sub-consultants appointed by the Council.
The project is divided into multiple packages, each addressing specific aspects of the redevelopment. Stage 1 includes preliminary planning and design, sports lighting upgrade, oval upgrade and main pavilion upgrade. Stage 2 focuses on design only for various components such as cricket net relocation, community activity hub, playspace destination, tennis club relocation, and community plaza and car parking.
Compliance with environmental protection regulations is a key consideration throughout the project.
The project aims to enhance the reserve while minimising any adverse environmental impact. Measures such as sustainable design, water management, and landscaping will be incorporated to preserve and enhance the natural environment surrounding Mount Waverley Reserve.
Community engagement is another critical aspect of the project. The project team will actively involve the local community in the decision-making process, seeking input and feedback to ensure that the redevelopment meets the needs and desires of the community. Through open communication and collaboration, the project aims to create a vibrant and inclusive space that fosters community connection and recreational opportunities.
Helmi, as the Senior Project Manager, is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing stakeholders, and delivering the project on time and within budget.
