…what we did on this project

Bob Bocevski, in his role as Delivery Manager, effectively oversaw the $1.7 million Thompson Road West project in Cranbourne/Lynbrook. His primary focus was on implementing safety measures to enhance road safety, including the installation of flexible “W” beam safety barriers, wire rope safety barriers, and cushion Raptors around power poles.

The project faced significant challenges due to the builtup area with shopping precincts, residential zones, heavy traffic congestion, multiple intersections, and various underground services such as gas mains, Telstra lines, and water mains. Bob’s responsibilities encompassed conducting thorough site assessments, analyzing risks, and ensuring the safe delivery of the project.

Through meticulous project governance and risk management, Bob effectively managed the complexities associated with the project’s location and infrastructure requirements. Coordination and consideration of existing infrastructure and underground services were crucial during the installation of safety barriers to minimize disruptions and ensure worker and public safety.

As the Delivery Manager, Bob facilitated the smooth handover of the completed asset to the Department of Transport’s Region. This involved stringent inspection and quality assurance processes to ensure that all safety measures were installed correctly and met the required standards.

The successful completion of the Thompson Road West project has significantly improved road safety in the Cranbourne/Lynbrook area, providing enhanced protection for motorists and pedestrians. Despite the technical complexities, Bob’s expertise in project management, governance, and commitment to safety ensured the project’s successful delivery within the allocated budget and timeframe.
